That poll is a tough one, btw...you probably have about 8 of my top 10 comedies of all time listed there!

The poll was tough for me, too, for a different reason, lol. I haven't seen half of them, and the ones I have seen I wasn't big on. I did like Airplane at lot, though.

a bit of a problem since we can't vote for more than one (radio button = boooooo!!!) because otherwise it would be weighted more fairly over volume (but that's just the Stat classes talking, I'm sure).

yay messageboards... yay Airplane!... I wish Clue was on there... but it's kind of a pseudo-comedy.

I had the same problem as some others: too many movies to choose from, and only one choice available. There were at least 3 of my favourite comedies in the list.

My favorite movie on there is princess bride, but since I don't think of it as a comedy, i had to go with another. If you can't laugh at european swallows carrying coconuts, what can you laugh at?

yooohooooo the only one of those films I've ever seen is Ghostbusters, but it wasn't exactly hilarious so I haven't voted for it...

Max...good call. My wife's favorite comedy of all-time is Arsenic and Old Lace. I'd like to add three more classics here, Auntie Mame, MASH and Harold and Maude.

I still have to stick with 'Blazing Saddles', it may not be the funniest, even in my own list, anymore, but it was my first 'best', and it still stands on its own, even as un-PC as it may be deemed in today's world...
There, my first post, and it will probably go downhill from there.

Hi y'all! I voted for Airplane -- funniest of those given, although I like Caddyshack and The Jerk too. I would add: Office Space (how'd that miss the cut?) The Inlaws Meet the Parents It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and its remake Rat Race Waking Ned Divine (c'mon -- who didn't love the butt-naked motorcycle riding scene???)
I like most of Adam Sandler's stuff too . . .

I'm WAY late on this one but some great subtle (and not so subtle) comedy films are:
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum The Flim-Flam Man The Gumball Rally Operation Petticoat Caddyshack Some Like It Hot The Pink Panther History of the World - Part I MASH I Was a War Bride The Birdcage
Well, you get the idea! I tried to list films not shown.

I love Arsenic and Old Lace, too, Jazz, and Occ.... Operation Petticoat was absolutely hilarious!
